Shade most certianly did not like her name. She was rather ashamed by it and almost thought about giving him her middle name, but decided against it. "Shade Sato." She said to her, drinking more of the energy drink.

"Cool name," Kyo commented lightly. He kind of liked it. Shade. It was unique, something you never heard before as a name. It was a good name, in his opinion.
"Nice to meet ya," he added as an afterthought.

Shade smirked slightly. "I think my mom was smoking something when she named me." She said, lightly joking in her own way.
"Nice to meet ya, too." Shade also said, her grin turning into a wider smile. She really liked the Kyo person. He seemed laid back and friendly. She felt almost drawn to him.

Kyo even smiled this time. Still that crooked smirk, but a little more enthusiastic. Shade was a good kid. She seemed fairly nice, too. Nothing like Tohru, but she was definitely friendly.
"Heh. Your mom nice?" he asked curiously. It was a perfectly innocent question, though he really did want to know. After all, he'd lost his mom when he was young.

Shade nodded. "Yeah. I don't have a dad so she's really all I have sometimes." She said to him with a simple shrug.
"What about yours?" She returned the question, just as innocently.

"My mom's dead," he told her quietly, sounding as off-hand about it as he could. He didn't want to be pitied or anything. "My... 'dad' is pretty cool," he added. Of course, by 'dad' he meant Kazuma
It's kind of difficult to think of his actual dad even as a dad.

"Oh..." Shade said. "Must have been hard for you." She said to him. Shade kept herself from saying or asking anymore stupid, touchy questions by once again taking another drink. It would be gone soon with the way she was using it to shut herself up.
Shade tried to think of a lighter subject, but could think of none.

Kyo shrugged. "It happened a long time ago. Sure, it was hard, but I'm dealing with it," he said, taking a drink of pop. What now? What should he say now? He ate his food quietly, looking through his blonde eyelashes at the sky above. It was decorated with puffy, dark clouds. He groaned.
"It looks like it's gonna rain," he complained.

Shade looked up at the sky and grimaced slightly. "Hopefully It won't rain too much." She said, looking at the angry clouds that swirled overhead. She looked back at Kyo. "Wanna head on back inside? Don't wanna get caught in the rain." The girl said.
She was really begining to like Kyo. The boy was quiet but still pretty much seemed to speak his mind.

Kyo shrugged. "That'd be a good idea. The rain affects me pretty badly," he said, feeling irritable. It was already starting to affect him. He stood up, grabbing what was left of his lunch, and headed inside with the girl.
"I hate rain," he muttered.

Shade didn't say anything, but gathered her lunch and threw the rest in the trash, she wasn't hungry anymore. She didn't have the huge appetite as her cousin and uncle did. Though her uncle's was normally for sweets and teas. Shade swore up and down that Kiyoshi had mutated tastes buds, because he would eat anything as long as it didn’t taste to horrible. Kiyoshi could swallow a tone of things that would make the rest of the family gag. He’d probably eat pickled pig’s feet if it was the only thing in the house. Shade shrugged her thin shoulders at his comment. The girl had always been small, and always would be small. Standing up, she hardly went to Kyo’s shoulder, making her appear tiny in the presence of the towering boy. "It's okay, I guess. Just depends on when's it raining. Though rain usually does make me tired." She said, having to tilt her head up quite a ways to see the face of the orange haired, red eyed boy that she was talking to. "It would be pretty uncomfortable without rain though, it would be all dry. That's how think of it." The raven haired girl said, throwing in her two-cents of opinion. Shade turned her head up to the sky and two plump raindrops fell on her upturned face. She looked back down at wiped them away with her small; dainty hand.
Once in the warmer, and drier building she looked back up at Kyo again. She didn't really know what to say to the handsome teenager. So the quirky girl came up with another random question again. "So why do you hate rain?" She asked him, her emerald eyes trained on him as she waited for his answer to her question. Shade was never empty of questions, and had a million or more of them.
((Bleh. Trying to be more detailed. It's hard when your head is pounding. XD >.<))

Kyo listened to most of what she said, but didn't comment. His only real response was a little grunt here and there. Once they got inside, he continued walking with her, until they were at a place out of the way. He leaned back against a wall near some lockers when he finally met her gaze and registered her question. She was an attractive girl. It's not like he was interested, but he still noticed that kind of stuff. Her hair was really dark, like most Japanese people's hair was. Her eyes were an unrealistic peridot that you didn't find on most people, and it really drew others in. They were large, too, making her seem a little younger, though there was still a definite strength to this short, dainty-looking girl. Her darker skin was out of place, but not as uncommon as her green eyes.
He thought over the question as he ran his hand through his orange hair. Why didn't he like the rain? Well, he could state the obvious, but that would be a bad thing to say. Or, at least, not allowed. "'Cause when the rain falls, it really drains my energy. It's like I can't do anything sometimes. It drives me crazy. I don't like water, either. Swimming, the ocean, rain. I hate it."

Shade nodded once and stopped walking when he did. A small grin played across her bronze face. "You sound like a cat." She mentioned. He obviously had a passionate hate about any kind of wetness. A trait that cats normally displayed. She couldn't help but let a cute giggle escape her throat. "Eh, sorry. I hate my laugh..." She grumbled, frowning at herself. She was saying sorry for laughing at him, how ever. ((Bleh. ::head desk:

Kyo shrugged. "I guess," he muttered, as if he didn't like that. Well, nobody wanted to be a cat. Cats were rejects. Cats were abandoned. Cats were abominations. That's how it was in the Sohma family, anyway. He smirked, and the dark thoughts left when she laughed. "You sound like a ditz when you laugh," he pointed out teasingly. "Or like a stupid cheerleader."

Shade didn't know why he didn't like being compaired to a cat, but she didn't know how she would react if she got compaired to an animal. If she would have known about the zodaic curse, she would probably dislike be compaired to a feline as well.
"Do not." Shade said, havin to stiffle another giggle as he playfully teased her. "It's normal for a girl to laugh like that... I think..." She said, mumbling softly the last part to herself.
