LUCIEN ASH CAHLLAH
"I’m hiding from the world; you don’t really see me, you only see what you expect to see."
[/center]
FULL NAMELucien Ash Cahllah
NICKNAME(S) Luci or Ash.
AGE 16
GENDERMale
GRADE Sophomore
YOU’VE GOT STYLE, LOOKIN’ SO SHARP| Ash is one that could be considered extremely cute. With his hair that tends to blow in his face and over his light brown eyes, he could quite easily be a player, if he had that type of personality. Although he is of average height and weight, he appears to be really skinny, if one takes time to really look at him. Dressed in light colored clothes that blend with his naturally highlighted hair, he does a good job of keeping to himself, and not getting noticed by anyone. Typical attire of Ash is exactly what you see; he doesn’t dress incredibly fancy. Must be those years of living simply that trained him to be that way. In fact, sometimes, he does such a good job blending in, that he is incredibly visible. He will never be one to do spirit days, or really wear anything to attract attention to himself. He loves sunglasses though, especially Ray Bans, and usually does have a pair with him, somewhere.
Ash is really good at cloaking his feelings; he can say anything and keep a straight face. It is rare for him to get actually angry, but when he does, that calm shatters, revealing something scary behind it. He doesn’t tolerate much, and looking at his past you know why, but he can be incredibly protective of anyone else. For the most part though, he enjoys sporting a blank look. People don’t talk to him too much that way.

CHARISMATIC PERSONALITY | There are very few things that Luci truly enjoys in this life; though his favorite things have to be swimming and snowboarding, both things that have nothing to do with fire. Fire is his largest phobia after all, and often he refuses to enter a room if there is a fire in it, as memory assaults him. Luci is a very bitter and depressed person though, and not many care to approach him, no matter how good looking he is. In truth, Luci has very mixed thoughts about people; one part of him wants to be left alone, the other wants some company at least. There are a few people who he would really enjoy punching their faces in, but aside from that, he could get along with people if he wanted. Writing is a hobby of his, as is coding various things, both something he is very good at, although he isn’t outgoing enough to admit it. He is though, the leader of the fixers at school, who just run around fixing things in the school, and has yet to find something that he can’t fix, aside from himself. And with that technology bit, there is also I suppose a bit of gamer-ness in him; as there are very few games that he hasn’t hacked or beaten.
Although he has very few things that make him happy, he has a lot of phobias. The main, as already stated, is fire, but there is a strange fear of bananas for some reason as well, not to mention public restrooms and…Ventriloquists and their dolls, as well as seahorses and his stepfather, though the last he wouldn’t ever admit. Some even he doesn’t know why he is afraid of them, there is just something bad about them that his mind refuses to allow him to interact normally with them. The dolls though, that is a really obvious fear; who doesn’t think dolls are evil? Especially those who interact with the audience, can we say freakshow? Not exactly phobic, but there is also a deep hate for Booze and Needles with Luci, two things he can’t stand. Of course, he also hates his sl*t of a sister, and his stepfather. Pretty much everyone in his family he hates. And Spongebob Squarepants. There is just something WRONG with that yellow sponge, something very, very wrong. Africa and Australia are two places that he refuses to go to as well. Too many poisonous creatures.
His weaknesses are great; social awkwardness, temper, and inability to open up. He has strengths to combat those though, with his courage, shadowboxing skills, and ability to code just about anything he puts his mind too. It is just finding his switch, finding a way to get him to open up, that is the hard part.

HISTORY| Life has never been easy for Lucien. Born in poverty, it always seemed as though they were just going to scrape by. He never had fancy clothes, or even really any fancy items, but with his mother and father, he was happy. He had friends, and was pretty popular throughout the crowds, more than happy to be anyone’s friend. This childhood bliss lasted for about 5 years, until life took a defeating turn for the worse; when one year, they just didn’t scrape by. Having to sell their house and move into an apartment, it was very hard on his parents, and that was when bad habits started to crop up. Derek would drink frequently after work, and Byrana just got more and more tightly wound, leaving poor Lucien in the dark about life. He had no clue what was going on, only that his father came home smelling funny, and his mom was always yelling. And then, his social life began to fall apart. With all his worry focused at home, Lucien became distant to people, and by the age of 7, was pretty much a loner in all aspects. Nothing had improved at home; it had only gotten worse. Actually, it was to the point where they didn’t answer the phone anymore in fear of who it was.
It was on his 8th birthday, that the fire consumed the building. They had been celebrating; Dad sober for once and Mom not yelling. He had been ready to open his gifts when the alarms went off, a fierce shrieking against the sound of laughter. Even if the alarms had come earlier, it wouldn’t have been enough to save them; with a sudden echoing boom, the whole building went down. It was only through sheer luck that he and his mom hadn’t been crushed. His dad though…was not so lucky. To this day, Lucien can still see the glazed look in his father’s eyes, and hear the last words he ever spoke. It is the most painful memory he has, no matter what has happened to him since then. And after that, things changed drastically for Lucien and his mom. For one thing, they got a lot, and I mean a lot, of money, and successfully bought a house of their own, no more apartments for them. It wasn’t too long before their stuff was back, at least, new versions of it.
There was something wrong with his mom though, but Lucien was too drawn in his own misery to do anything but watch as more and more men came home, and left the following morning, leaving his mom wasted in the bedroom. He didn’t need to ask what happened; the thin walls let him hear pretty much everything. And then there was one who just didn’t leave, a short and stocky man who had a lot of money, and a bad attitude. Lucien hated him on site, but what could he do about it? He was only about 10 years old now. It wasn’t long before they had a child; a little girl with sandy blonde hair that they called Kaylee. At first, Lucien had some hope that he wouldn’t be alone anymore; but Kaylee turned out to be nothing more than a boy toy, leaving Lucien only to withdraw further and further into solitude, that is, until Jerry started getting drunk and swinging fists. It wasn’t long until it was the belt, and then Lucien had had enough. He stood up to the man that night, and ever since then has been bruised up as he stood up for those too wasted to defend themselves.
Sometimes, Jerry would invite a group of buddies over to take on Lucien, and it was obvious who lost. Several times, it has been impossible for him to go to school, his father blamed it on being ill. And maybe he was; he should have gotten out then and there, but instead he has stuck around for 7 years. All across his back, the favorite spot for his stepfather, he has bruises that just have never healed. Being able to drive himself around has stopped a lot of this, but there is one thing that hasn’t been changed; as humanity showed him no kindness, Lucien withdrew farther and farther into himself, and now has what could only be called depression. He keeps away from all people at all costs; there is nobody he can trust. Society has done him no kindness. Maybe someday the wounds would heal, but at the moment, there is simply nobody that understands him, and it is best just to keep waiting in solitude…
