November had hit Tokyo fast this year, it was almost like the seasons decided to completely skip fall and jump strait into winter. Each day was colder then the last. Kiyoshi was NOT happy about it. The boy hated any cold weather. Every year, when it snowed, Kiyoshi would lock himself outside and stay away from the cold, fluffy white stuff, like it was deadly or something. Shade didn't mind the cold. Snow was fun, but it made her upset when it was cold enough to snow, but never did. Winter isn't any fun at all like that.
Shade stood in front of a floor-length mirror. Examining herself. She normally didn't dress up, but here she was. Nice pair of skinny jeans, converse, simple electric blue and black stripped shirt with a jean jacket over it. Heck, she was even wearing some makeup. Not alot, but some. Some of the clothes and the makeup she borrowed out of her older cousin's closet. Do you think Shade would own anything with the color 'electric blue'? Though the color did look nice on her, and somewhat brightened up the gloomy day.
Shade gazed out of the window for a moment. Dates... She thought lazily, just about in the same manner she did everything else. The fact that she was actually going on was a bit of a shock to her. Shade? Dates? No no no, Shade was always to busy worrying over someone else to notice boys for too long. Shade really only knew two or three men, I mean, really knew them. And two of them were family members. Her uncle scared her half to death sometimes, with the way he would attack her-once of the reasons she was wearing a jacket, hiding the fresh, purple and yellow bruises on her arms. For the longest time when she was younger, before Kiyoshi moved in with his family, Shade thought all men acted like this, almost as if it were their right to hit girls. She realized that she was wrong when once Kiyoshi stood up for her, and got hit as well.
Shade's drifting mind stopped wandering when the door to her room opened up with a loud BANG. Shade jumped like a startled cat. "Shade!" Came the high pitched whine of Kyoshi, her cousin. She was going to complain about the girl taking her clothes, but then saw that Shade was wearing something a little bit nicer then her usual attire-not by much, but a bit more improvement in the girly department, Kyoshi thought. Kyoshi immediately knew what was going on. "Aw, so you're going on a date!" She cooed with caffeine-induced enthusiasm. "Who's the lucky guy?" "No one you know." Grumbled Shade, shuffling out of her room. "Gotta go now." She said, even though Kyo said that he would pick her up. Shade could wait outside, she didn't want to be trapped with this crazy girl for too long.
So now Shade sat outside, on the front steps, her jacket tucked in around her skinny little body that didn't produce enough body heat for her. She grimaced at waited for the orange haired boy to show up and take her on their first date together.
((... Not sure how great it is. XD))

He'd gotten a lot of grief from Yuki about this. Tohru seemed overly happy, and he wondered if she was hiding something. That's usually how she got when she was upset or something. But he refused to think too much on it. She was fine. But Yuki had definitely been annoying.
It wasn't like he was wearing anything too dressy. He had on some jeans, as opposed to his usual cargo pants. He wore the same black t-shirt as usual, and some plain tennis-shoes. His orange hair was combed through, neatly but still with that slightly messy look. Any girl would think he looked amazing. But he really didn't know that. It never occured to him that he was good-looking.
The teenager walked down the sidewalk. He couldn't drive, and even if he could, nobody--not even Shigure--owned a car. It was cold, and he wondered if it would snow. Rain and snow were two very different things, after all. Even if snow melted, it was a lot better than rain, and he could even say he liked it. He looked around at the neighborhood. It was a nice-looking place, and he wondered how close the neighbors were together. He glanced at the paper with the directions and address to her house. Well, she's a lot better at giving directions than Tohru is, he thought wryly, recalling when he and Yuki had went looking for her grandfather's house to 'kidnap' her and take her back to the house. Though, when he stopped in front of a particular house, he didn't have to look down at the paper to know that it was Shade's house. After all, she stood right outside of it.
He just glanced at her, glanced over at her house, then did a little double-take. She looked good. He hid his shock, though, and walked up to her. "C'mon!" he said. "Let's go. Sorry I didn't bring a car. Ya look cold," he added a little gruffly. He pulled the jacket he was wearing a little tighter around him and jammed his hands in his pockets. He wondered why he'd asked her out, though. Did he actually like her this much? Gosh, this was awkward for him, though he tried not to show it. After all, if he didn't beat that stupid rat, he'd only be confined. Would that bother her? Wasn't this just as bad as simply leading a girl on would be? He internally shook himself, jamming the thoughts to the back of his mind and flashing Shade a faint smile, then turned around and started walking, making it so she'd have to run to catch up to him.

"S'fine." Shade mumbled. She hugged herself a little bit more tightly untill Kyo walked away. She was used to this behavior of his, so she ran to catch up with him. "Hey, wait up!" She called out, catching up to him quickly enough. She showed him one of her smiles once she did catch up. "So where we goin'?" She asked him, having to tilt her head up to look at him. He looked pretty good... that was an understatement. She began to think to herself, why would he want a girl like me? I'm nothing. I'm dirt compaired to him. Shade was always putting herself down in her mind, so the thoughts were really no surprise to her. Shade had it beaten into her that she was nothing, just a little girl who has no effect on the world what so ever. A scared little rabbit that'll run away at the first sign of the slightest danger. As thinking about this, her left hand rubbed her right arm softly. It looked just like she was warming herself up a bit, but she was really feeling for the bruises that had developed on her arms. They stung when she hit them. Yup, they would deffinately show up now. She made a note not to take off her jacket.
Shade looked back up at Kyo, watching him as he took his long strides, she had to take quicker steps to keep up with the boy, Shad ehad long legs herself but not nearly as long as Kyo's, but she was also a good head shorter then him. Shade reach up and twirled a strand of her strait as a board obsidion hair around one slender finger while watching him, a cute little habbit that she had picked up from an older cousin years ago.
((Bleh. Shade sounds like a whiny mary-sue to me. >.<))

Kyo rolled his eyes, a smirk creeping onto his face, as Shade demanded that he wait up. No way! But he let her catch up, despite his internal thoughts. After all, this was a date, not two friends just hanging out. "I don't really know. I figured we'd just walk around in the main part of Tokyo and you could tell me what you wanted to do. I've got plenty of money with me, anyway," Kyo told her lightly, giving her another smile. It was crooked and awkward, but would make any fangirl's heart flutter. Not that he was aware of this.
He wondered what she thought of him. Did she really like him? Or was she just going 'cause he asked? He kind of hoped it was the first one. He found that he really did like her. Not that he would admit it. He was observant around her. He noticed the way her hair looked in the dark or in the light. Either way it seemed to always reflect the light that shown on it, making it look almost as if she had a halo. That might have been his imagination, though. He liked the dark skin-tone she had, a lot different from the normal pale color of most people in Japan. Then there was her amazing eyes. They really caught his attention. They were deep and thoughtful, but you could never really tell what she was thinking.
"So, anything you're up for?" he asked.

Shade felt a bit of warmth in her stomach as he grinned at him. She liked to see him grin like that, he usually looked... sullen. It was good for him to smiled every so often- Shade felt proud that she was sometimes the source of this smiling- he had a very attractive smile. Heck, he was very attractive. Even the red eyes pulled her in. She figured that it was just the way the lights reflected off of them, but she could have sworn up and down that his pupils were shaped like a cats.
Now that Shade had caught up, she still had to take faster strides to remain in step with Kyo. Goodness, he had long legs. She could hardly keep up with him! It was more of a cardio workout for her then a simple stroll through the streets of Tokyo with her date.
Shade smiled back up at the tall, orange haired boy. A slight breeze made her have to push her jet black strands of hair out of her dark face, and pull her jacket a little tighter around her body. She wished that it would at least snow. Snow was so much fun. "Sounds good to me." She told him. "Maybe we could grab something to eat along the way, I don't really care what we eat." She told him, stuffing her hands in the pockets of her jacket now. She gazed up at the blue-gray sky. It just looked like winter, not like it would rain any time soon. Which was good. Her attractive date seemed to ahte any wettness with a passion, which never failed to make Shade giggle, even though she herself was afraid of any water that was above her head.
She turned her attention back to Kyo, taking in his features with one sweeping movement of her eyes. She was still ppretty surprised that he wanted a date with her. I mean, he could be a freaking god, with those looks. He was toned, Shade could see it in his arms and with the powerful steps he took, which probably meant that he did a sport of martial arts. His hair was thick and a orange, rusty color that Shade, of some unfathomable reason, wanted to touch. She imagined it soft, like a cat's fur or something. Don't ask me why. His skin was of the norm, but it had the slightest hints of tan when she first met him. It would soon fade away if it hasn't already due to the cold weather and lack of constant sunlight. As stated earlier, his eyes impressed her the most. So red... how did they get to be that color? Contacts... ? From what Shade could see, there didn't appear to be any contacts in his eyes...
Shade caught herself staring and looked away. She could feel the warmth of blush rising on her cheeks and ears, and she hoped that he wouldn't notice.

Kyo nodded at Shade, not quite looking at her as she spoke. "All right. But I don't really know what to get. Up for seafood?" he asked, barely glancing at her out of the corner of his eye. This was his first date. He had no idea how to act. But he was glad that it was with her, and not with some other girl. Because this way, it wasn't awkward. Not at all, really, despite the silence.
He continued to take his long strides although he was very well aware that she had to walk faster to keep up. He smirked to himself. It was kind of fun. Well, he wasn't gonna wait up for her.
He felt her staring, but didn't glance over at her until she looked away. "You're blushing," he commented observantly, smirking teasingly at her.
((FAIL. Dx))

((XDD I think it's fine. LoL.)) "Sure, sea food sounds good." She said to him. Food was food. It didn't really matter. Shade probably wouldn't eat much anyways, the small girl had never really had a big appietite. Shade turned a little bit darker and looked up at him. "Am not." She said defiantly, though it didn't do much use. You could still tell that she was blushing by the tints of red on her cheeks. She was right now, blamming it on the cold. Kyo laughed then. Openly, loudly even. It was just so funny. She looked adorable, how she tried to deny it and look all defiant. But in reality, she looked cute. "You are too blushing!" he replied teasingly. "You're bright red, Shade." He smirked at her now. He ruffled her hair, then smoothed it out where he'd messed it up.
((Imagine if somehow this first date escalated to a first kiss? xD))

((XDD That'd be cute. LoL.))
Shade tried to keep herself from going to an even darker shade of red. Mostly from where Kyo ruffled her hair. Why am I acting like some hormone driven teenager.... oh, right... I am one. "Am not." Shade repeated, a slight smile on her lips. "It's the cold, I swear." She said to him. She was happy to hear him laugh, she liked to hear the boy laugh, and she was filled with joy to know that she was the reason of his happiness.

Kyo smirked to himself. He found that he really loved her, the way she acted. Crap! He was falling deeper and deeper before the actual date even started! He felt like an idiot.
"Then why aren't I turning red. Besides, it's not that cold anymore," he told her, punching her lightly in the arm. He would have wrapped an arm around her shoulders--more in the friendly way than the romantic way (awkward, much?)--but he more than likely would have transformed into a cat.
He fingered his beads absently. They were a constant reminder. This was stupid, what he was doing. But he made himself forget about it, walking her into a nearby seafood restaurant. They were seated, and he glanced at the menu. Good thing he'd brought all his money. Some of this stuff was expensive.
"Order whatever. I can afford it," he told her before looking over the menu, scanning through the various dishes and silently deciding on a salmon steak with a baked potato side and some water for a drink.

"Th-that's because..." Shade never finished her sentence because she couldn't think of a good enough comeback. Oh, just wait, Kyo, just you wait...
Shade gazed over the menu. Wow... she decided to get something that wouldn't cost a whole ton, just some shrimp. She would also go with a water to drink.
((bleh. It sucks.))

Kyo smirked at her over the top of the menu he held. It was a playful espression, and his narrow scarlet eyes danced. In the brightly-lit room, his strange pupils became narrower, looking even more like a cat's.
A waitress came, asking if they were ready to order. Kyo ordered for himself, then said that all he'd like to drink was water, and then motioned to Shade so she would order.

Shade glanced over at Kyo, catching his smirk and giving him a smirk of her own.
When the waitress came, Shade also gave her order to the waitress, and handed the other girl her menu.

The woman left with both of the menus, saying that their food would be ready soon.
"You're still blushing a little," Kyo teased, leaning back in his chair. He was tempted to put his feet on the table, but he knew he shouldn't, and really didn't actually want to.
After all, the chair could fall out from under him and then he'd completely embarrass himself.

Shade playfully made a face at him. "I can't control my blushing." She told him. She grinning crookedly at Kyo, playing with the end of her hair again, twirling one strand around her index finger.
It was warm in the resturante. Shade slipped off of jacket and rolled her slender, bronzed shoulders once or twice to get the kinks out of them. The healing, purple bruises were currently hidden under the table, the girl was pretty short, after all, the table hit her about mid-rib.
